Borealis at Bergen
- Monday 06.03
- Bergen Offentlige Biblioteket, Strømgaten 6
Throughout the festival Borealis will occupy many of the library’s rooms.
Radio Space is Borealis’ own platform for radio and sound art. Throughout the festival we will be broadcasting through the Borealis website, and you can tune in day or night to a curated selection of new works by artists and composers from around the world. Nestled amongst the library shelves you can find private listening stations where you can dive in to our radiouniverse of alternative sound.
Borealis has scoured the book and music collection of the library to present a small exhibition of texts, books, CDs and records that relate to sound, composing and listening. You’ll also find here commissioned texts written for the festival from Camae Ayewa, artists, rapper, political activist, who performs under the name Moor Mother, and cellist and composer Oliver Coates, a regular collaborator with artists such as Radiohead, Actress and Mica Levi, who has a written a major new work for this year’s festival. You’ll also find more information about the festival, as well as a complete list of events.
The selection will be available before, during and after the festival.
