Geir Jenssen, AKA Biosphere, is one of the most influential people in Norwegian electronic music. In this concert the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra will perform his first work for the medium, based on the symphonies of Shostakovich. The orchestra’s solo percussionist Peter Kates and violinist Peter Herresthal, both capable of a seemingly unlimited range of sounds and techniques, will also perform a new work by Nils Henrik Asheim.
The concert is a collaboration between Borealis and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, and has received funding from Komponistenes vederlagsfond.
