Johannes Kreidler

Komponist / Composer. Til stede under festivalen. 

Johannes Kreidler (1980) begynte sin musikkopplæring i en alder av fire og hadde sine første pianotimer i en alder av åtte. Han begynte å komponere musikk allerede i 1989 og fra 2000 til 2006 studerte han komposisjon og musikkteori ved Musikkhøyskolen Freiburg, komposisjon med Mathias Spahlinger, teori med Eckehard Kiem, orgel med Helmut Deutsch, piano med Felix Gottlieb og elektronisk musikk med Mesias Maiguashca og Orm Finnendahl. I tillegg til dette, gjorde han filosofiske studier ved Universität Freiburg. Fra 2004 til 2005 studerte han elektronisk musikk ved Institutt for Sonologi ved Royal Conservatory i Haag, Holland med stipend fra European Community. Han har deltatt i komponistkurs med Helmut Lachenmann, Brian Ferneyhough, Richard Barrett og ved IRCAM Paris.

Siden 2006 har undervist musikkteori og elektronisk musikk ved University of Music and Theater Rostock i Tyskland og på Hochbegabtenzentrum ved University of Music Detmold. Fra 2009 har han undervist ved Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. Johannes Kreidler bor i Berlin

Johannes Kreidler was born in 1980 in Esslingen, Germany. He began his musical training at the age of four and had his first piano lessons at the age of eight. In 1989 he began composing, studying composition and music theory at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart as well as learning to play the violin and organ. From 2000 to 2006 he studied composition and music theory at the Musikhochschule Freiburg, composition with Mathias Spahlinger, theory with Eckehard Kiem, organ with Helmut Deutsch, piano with Felix Gottlieb and electronic music with Mesias Maiguashca and Orm Finnendahl. In addition to this, he did philosophical studies at the Universität Freiburg. From 2004 to 2005 he studied electronic music at the Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Holland with a scholarship he received from the European Community. He has taken part in composition courses with Helmut Lachenmann, Brian Ferneyhough, Richard Barrett and at IRCAM Paris.

Since 2006 he has been teaching music theory and electronic music at the University of Music and Theater Rostock, Germany and at the Hochbegabtenzentrum of the University of Music Detmold, and since 2009 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. Johannes Kreidler lives in Berlin.
