John Chantler

John Chantler er musiker og organisator, bosatt i Stockholm. Han bruker synthesizere og elektronikk for å skape uforutsigbar og svært dynamisk musikk, der partier med utenomjordisk, sparsommelig velklang, møter massive bølger av forvrengte overtoner.
Verket hans Tomorrow Is Too Late ble laget ved INA GRM i Paris ved hjelp av en rekonstruksjon av synthesizeren François Coupigny designet for studioet på slutten av 60-tallet. Verket ble fremført første gang i 2018, ved festivalen Présences Électronique i Paris.

John Chantler is a musician and organiser living in Stockholm, Sweden. He works with synthesizers and electronics to create unpredictable, highly dynamic music where passages of spare, alien beauty bridge distorted washes of masses harmonics.

His work Tomorrow is Too Late was made at the INA GRM in Paris using a recreation of the François Coupigny designed synthesizer the studio first had made in the late 1960s and was originally presented at the 2018 Présences Électronique festival in Paris.
