Det Elektriske Korps (DEK) is an anti-marching band of musicians playing on hand painted portable drum machines forming a collective sound system. The band is made up of both transitory participants and more regular attendees. In contrast to a conventional band, DEK only has a brief introductory course where one receives training in the use of the intuitive interface of the drum machine and the principles of playing together before hitting the streets.
DEK is a part of Samvær Under Tilsün (Socialization Under Supervision), a conglomerate of improvised hardware freeform tekno, augmented table tennis with your life™ at stake, machine embroidery, griddle cakes, tea and rotating sound systems in an undulating combination.
