The french Ensemble soundinitiative is one of the leading avant-garde ensembles in Europe and is known for their groundbreaking work in the intersection of music and performance, which delimits the space between composer and performers. Inspired by theatre, dance, visual and performance art, they were established in Paris in 2011 and consist of nine musicians. The performers are dedicated to creating completely unique concert experiences, where the performers' sounds and movements resonate the performance space. For each piece, soundinitiative creates its very own artistic form, which is designed to invite the audience to discover new hidden sonic experiences. Ensemble soundinitiative has performed across Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. They are also Associate Artist-in-Residence at the Enghien-les-Bains Centre of Arts near Paris mellom 2019–2023.
