Alwynne Pritchard works with sound, her voice and her body. She is a composer, singer, physical performer and actor, who also plays the violin. She makes theatre, works with text and uses colours and images to inform her thinking. Alwynne has created work for orchestras, ensembles, solo musicians and other performers internationally, and has appeared in stage productions in France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Norway and the UK. In 2015, she co-founded the music-theatre company Neither Nor. Alwynne has also appeared in her own music-theatre pieces, such as Hospice Lazy and We, Three, performed in theatres in Germany, Latvia and Norway, and in her solo series Vitality Forms which she has performed across Europe, Scandinavia and in the USA. To date, Alwynne has commissioned more than twenty solo music-theatre works from composers around the globe for her solo project DOG/GOD, which she is now touring internationally as MONGREL. Alwynne's professional life has also included stints as the Artistic Director of Borealis from 2008–2014 and for BIT20 Ensemble in Bergen. She has also been a member of the composition staff at Trinity Laban in London and a presenter for BBC Radio 3.
Alwynne was born in Glasgow, grew up in Bristol and now lives in Bergen.
