Øyvind Skarbø is a drummer, composer and producer based in Bergen, Norway. He studied with Terje Isungset from 2004-2006, and has also studied Norwegian, Cuban and Yoruba traditional music. Øyvind has performed on 28 albums, and played in 28 countries with some of the top jazz musicians in the world, including Håkon Kornstad, Kris Davis and Fredrik Ljungkvist. In 2016 he received the Vossajazz Prize, and in 2022 he won the TONO Edvard award. His band Skarbø Skulekorps, for which he also writes all the music, released its widely praised debut album on Hubro in 2019.
