Eva Pfitzenmaier is a singer, composer, writer and performer working across artistic disciplines from Bergen, Norway. Her music draws inspiration from contemporary, electronic and popular music, as well as different types of folkloristic music. With improvisation as a main tool, she constantly negotiates questions of genre, form and format, exploring how different means of expression can be combined in order to create a holistic artistic experience. She is trying to find those short moments of instability and vulnerability which reflect the human condition. Her work includes numerous collaborations with dancers and choreographers, filmmakers, visual artists, and other musicians, as well as various commissioned compositions for other performers, and her solo project By The Waterhole.
