Signe Emmeluth – ALT
Heidi Kvelvane is a Norwegian saxophonist born and raised in Sandnes, educated at the Grieg Academy, and currently living in Voss. As a spontaneous and resourceful musician, she has already distinguished herself on the Norwegian improv scene at the young age of 23. She has performed a number of concerts – on stage, in churches and as folk musician – and alongside her studies she performed in around eighty productions of the musical Lazarus at the theatre Den Nationale Scene in Bergen. She has most recently been performing internationally with Terrie Ex and drum legend Han Bennink in Belgium. She is otherwise known from Vestnorsk Jazzensemble, Paal Nilssen-Love Large Unit, and Bergen Big Band, as well as through her own quartet, trio, and her project Bankvelv.
