Hege Høisæter

Hege Høisæter is a Norwegian mezzo-soprano from Bergen, with opera education from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and the Academy of Opera in Oslo. From 2002–2016 she was a soloist at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, and made a name for herself interpreting a number of demanding roles within styles ranging from baroque and classical opera to world premieres. She has also been a soloist with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, The Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, the Arctic Philharmonic, the Oslo Sinfonietta and Vertavo. In 2023 she was nominated for the Norwegian Hedda Prize for her performance as Ameli in the world premiere of Fram by Oda Radnor and Synne Skouen. Hege also released the solo record Jordlys in collaboration with LAWO Classics, which in 2019 was nominated for Best Solo Recording in Opus Klassik.
