Maren Sofie Nyland Johansen

Maren Sofie Nyland Johansen is an accordionist based in Oslo with a special interest in contemporary music, also working with transcription, composition, and free improvisation. She has played in a wide variety of projects, both as soloist and chamber musician, together with choirs, free improvising ensembles and dancers, as well as on her own projects. An important part of her musical practice is collaborating with contemporary composers. She is currently a member of the ensembles KRÆKK, AKSE and the progression trio, focusing on everything between traditional contemporary music to performative pieces.
