Sandrine Schau is a Norwegian soprano based in Oslo, who has distinguished herself as a soloist, chamber musician and ensemble singer. Her repertoire range between baroque, classical and modern music. She is interested in cultivating purity and simplicity in the music she performs, and in refining the small things.
Sandrine studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and Barratt Due Music Institute. As soloist, she has for instance performed Handel's Messiah, Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Fauré's Requiem. At Oslo Chamber Music Festival, she performed excerpts from new operas by Rachel J. Peters and Royce Vavrek. In February 2024, she also sang excerpts from their opera Three Amputators with the Arctic Philharmonic at the Arctic Chamber Music Festival in Svalbard.
