Zofia Jakubiec

Zofia Jakubiec is a clothing and costume designer. With her background as a dancer, she explores new definitions of costume, exploring the relationship between movement and materiality in spaces. She has a master's degree in design from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, a master's degree in art from the University of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland, and dance experience from Polish Dance Theatre, Butoh Encounters, and numerous projects both in Poland and Norway. In 2022 she was nominated for the Hedda Prize in best set and costume design for the production of KinShips together with set designers Baum & Leahy and Annike Flo. In 2019, she represented Norway at the international group exhibition Innovative Costume of The 21st Century: The Next Generation in Moscow. Her costume designs have been used by several artists and in a number of performances in Norway, including Blaff by Berit Einemo Frøysland in 2024.
