Anne Cecilie Pedersen

Anne Cecilie Pedersen is a storyteller, singer, writer, and chef. She grew up on one of the fishing farms on Røst and runs Querini Pub & Restaurant, named after the Venetian sailor Pietro Querini.

Since 2000, she has served dishes from the bounty of the sea, with a particular focus on dried cod and its rich cultural history. She combines culinary experiences with cultural and historical storytelling through theater, music, and narrative. Pedersen was involved from the start of the Querini Opera and is one of the island’s storytellers and cultural organizers, a singer in the Røst Choir, and an actor in the Røst Theater Company.

In addition to performances and storytelling, she organizes concerts, lectures, and cultural programs in collaboration with Orkana Publishing editor Elisabeth Johansen and the Røst Community Supported Agriculture, under the title Fesk og potedes, held annually on Røst. She also leads the text selection resource group at the Pietro Querini Literature Park.
