Björn Guo is a violinist and violist from Örebro, Sweden, based in Trondheim since 2015. After completing a master’s degree in music education in violin and electric guitar at Musikhögskolan Ingesund, Karlstad University, he continued his music studies at NTNU, where he earned a performance bachelor’s degree in viola.
His work is characterized by a wide range of genres and expressions – from free improvisation and contemporary music to pop, rock, and classical – and he frequently contributes string recordings in the studio for various artists and projects.
Guo is a member of TrondheimSolistene and has performed in productions at Trøndelag Teater, Nye Hjorten Teater, and the Kristiansund Opera. He also collaborates regularly with Anna Thu Schmidt and other dance artists associated with DansiT. Since 2021, he has been part of Andrea Spreafico’s performances on Dante.
