Francesca Fargion

Francesca Fargion is a composer and performer, trained in piano and creative practice. She is currently pursuing a PhD, where her research focuses on embodied composition—an approach to music-making that arises from integration with dance and theatre performance. Her work explores how embodied dramaturgy and self-performance can expand the concept of song.

Fargion has performed internationally at venues such as Café Oto and Iklektik in London, Kaaitheater in Brussels, Théâtre de la Bastille in Paris, and at festivals including LCMF, Music We'd Like to Hear, Impulstanz and Festspillene i Bergen. In addition to her solo work, she collaborates with her sibling duo, The Fargions, where they explore songwriting with surreal naivety and humor.

She has performed and collaborated with ensembles such as Apartment House and Plus-Minus Ensemble, and with several dance and theatre practitioners. Fargion has also contributed to the work of theatre and dance companies such as Spreafico Eckly, ECCE, and Dance On.
