Katarina Skår Lisa

Katarina Skår Lisa is a choreographer, dancer, and performer, holding an MA in Choreography from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and a BA in Dance Education from the University of Stavanger. She also has training in three-dimensional art and art history and teaches choreography and movement with a poetic and contemplative approach. Her work exists at the intersection of performing arts and performance, where interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized as an important visual, relational, artistic, choreographic, and social working method. This approach allows her work to engage not only with the art world but also with culture, nature, and society. For Skår Lisa, choreography is a way to explore perspectives and tell stories through visual poetry, movement, and performance.

Through her practice, she seeks to embody other creatures and explore their sensory experiences. Her work investigates how humans can perceive the world through another being — to feel and sense what others feel, and to reflect on a reality beyond our own.
