Louisa Palmi

Louisa Palmi is a composer, artist, and electronic orchestra conductor. She combines electronics, electroacoustics, field recordings, and 3D sound technology to create immersive audio experiences.

Palmi’s work often explores social phenomena, with each piece reflecting on different aspects of contemporary life, from mortality and decomposition to urban transformation, technological saturation, and questions of pause and intersection.

Her work has been presented across Europe at venues including ArteScienzia in Rome, Tallinn Music Week, Inkonst in Malmö, Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius, Sentralen in Oslo and Insomnia Festival. She frequently collaborates with artists such as Per Martinsen, Mental Overdrive, Arve Henriksen, and Toby Kassell.

In 2023, Palmi was named Emerging Artist by the Arctic Arts Festival and was selected for KUPP 2.2, a development program for young, promising composers under 35.
