Marius Kolbenstvedt is an actor, director, playwright, dramaturg, musician, and producer. He trained at the Nordic Theatre School in Aarhus and holds a bachelor’s degree in art, ideas, and cultural history from the University of Oslo. Over the course of his career, he has developed and directed productions in collaboration with Pia Maria Roll, Eirik Raude, Thomas Hildebrand, and Marius von der Fehr.
Kolbenstvedt has a deep interest in nature and is co-editor of the eco-art anthology NATURTRO – on decolonizing nature. Alongside his broad creative work, he leads several artistic organizations. He is the artistic director of the documentary music-theatre company Fakta Morgana, runs the music-theatre collective K.A.O.S AS, and co-manages the platform MOTforestillinger, which presents occupation-critical artists from Israel and Palestine. He is also co-founder of the interdisciplinary network Concerned Artists Norway (CAN).
