Ola Høyer

Ola Høyer is a Norwegian musician, composer, and educator based in Bergen. He has extensive experience performing his own works both nationally and internationally, and has for over fifteen years established himself as a prominent voice in the European jazz and improvisation scene. Høyer has toured across Norway and internationally, with performances at festivals such as Molde Jazz Festival, Kongsberg Jazz Festival, and London Jazz Festival, among others.

He is a core member of the bands Cortex, Moon Relay, Anja & Ola, Honest John, and The Way Ahead, and has appeared as a guest musician in the children’s music project Meg og kameraten min. He has worked as a musician and collaborator in Neither Nor with the production Lapsing, produced by Alwynne Pritchard and Thorolf Tuestad, and has composed and performed music for dance and stage in collaboration with Alan Lucien Øyen and the ensemble Winter Guests.
