Øyvind Skarbø is a drummer, composer, and producer based in Bergen, Norway. Raised on a mix of 60s rock and 80s Prince, and also having studied Norwegian, Cuban and Yoruba traditional music, he is today one of Norway's most creative jazz/improvising musicians.
Øyvind has performed on more than 40 albums, and toured all over Europe, Canada, Japan and the Middle East. He received the Vossajazz Prize in 2016 and the TONO Edvard award in 2022.
His ensembles include 1982, Skarbø Skulekorps, Superless, Inland Empire and his current main project, Telehiv.
