Randiane Aalberg Sandboe

Randiane Aalberg Sandboe is a lighting designer and visual artist based in Bergen, with a master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design from the University of Wismar, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Bergen. Sandboe works at the intersection of stage lighting, architectural lighting, and light art, allowing these fields to influence each other in her projects. She has gained extensive experience in the performing arts, with commissions for institutions such as the National Theatre, Den Nationale Scene, Det Vestnorske Teateret, BIT Teatergarasjen, Black Box Theatre, and Rosendal Theatre, as well as international projects in Germany, Italy, France, and Japan, and has received a start-up grant from Bergen Municipality and several grants from the Arts Council Norway. Sandboe has worked as a lighting designer on productions with, among others, Lene Therese Teigen, Ludvig Uhlbors, Andrea Spreafico, and Miriam Prestøy Lie.
