GUIDELINE FOR ARTIST INFO
We’re looking forward to 2025 March 12–16, and are thrilled that you’re taking part!
In order for us to promote the festival and your project, we need some material from you. On email you have received a personal link taking you to your personal Artist Page in Crescat – Borealis’ production tool. From here you press the About Artist form to fill it in. Once you have filled in the form, remember to press submit at the bottom of the page. You can edit, remove or add information by submitting the form several times.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have questions or are in need of help: runa@borealisfestival.no / irem@borealisfestival.no

BIOGRAPHY (200 words)
We want the biographies to give a cross section impression of the artist, their artistic motivation and artistic personality, and we also want the bio to be understandable to our audience. We’re not looking for a CV, but rather information that is relevant for your piece at Borealis, for the festival in general, and for your artistic vision.
Questions that can be answered in the bio are: Where are you from and where do you live? Which themes or methods are interesting to you as an artist? Any major milestones in your career that are important to mention? Anything that would be good for the audience to know about, and puts your work in a larger context?
The bio will be edited down to 200 words and adjusted to fit the Borealis jargon, so you don’t need to perfect the text before submitting.
PICTURES
It is important that the portraits are sent in high quality.
Remember to also add the name of the photographer(s), so that we can give credit to their work. You can do this in the file name(s), or by filling out the “Accreditation Photos” box.
The more pictures, the better!
AUDIO/VIDEO
To give our audience a better impression of who the artists are, we share audio and video of their previous work in various ways.
We wish that you send us everything you have – big and small! The material can be completely different from what you’ll be doing at Borealis 2025 – as long as you think it’s a good representation of you as an artist.
Sound and video may be added as links or files.
This material could show up on our social media, our website and in a promo video for the festival.
USE OF ARTIST INFO
The material you submit will be edited, proofread and used on our website, in printed material, social media (Instagram and Facebook), in press releases, programme notes and in general communication of the festival and the 2025 programme.
