Borealis is looking for festival staff
Transport & Logistics Coordinator

Event Managers
Application deadline Thursday 5 December
Several payed project positions are now opening up in Borealis!
Borealis is a festival for experimental music that takes place over 5 days each March in Bergen, Norway. In 2025 the festival runs between 12–16 March! Borealis is a place for adventurous listeners, celebrating music that doesn’t fit neatly into any boxes. The festival presents new projects from Norway, Sápmi and around the world that push the boundaries of what music is and how we listen. Festival events span concerts, installations, family events and performances, to listening sessions, exhibitions, conversations, radio and film, and take place everywhere from traditional concert venues and art galleries to swimming pools and libraries across the city.
We have a team of six people working throughout the year, but as the festival approaches, we need more hands and energy to contribute to the realisation of the festival in March.
Would you like to be part of our team? Read on for more detailed information about each position and about the organisation and festival.

As Transport & Logistics Coordinator you will have both the overview and control of all the logistic details for the festival, be that people, branding, equipment, or food. You will recruit and manage a team of drivers and make a schedule that ensures a smooth festival. During the festival you will have a key role in ensuring everyone has what they need at the right time in venues used by the festival and in dealing with ad-hoc needs that occur.
Key qualities: You are naturally organised and have experience with and enjoy working in either excel sheets, google sheets or similar. An uncomplicated and friendly ticket experience is key to ensuring happy audiences. As Ticket Coordinator you are onsite at each concert venue and the first person to welcome our audiences. You will be responsible for training and supervising a team of volunteers who greet the audience, issue and check tickets, give out programmes, sell and keep an inventory of merch, and ensure the smooth flow of ushering the audience into the venue. You will have an overview of guest lists and an understanding of different ticket categories.
Key qualities: You are organised, calm, and enjoy working with both people and systems. You are aware of the importance of feeling welcome when arriving at an event and you are able to create a positive atmosphere in a team. You will deal with both artists, technicians, vendors, bar staff, venues and volunteers and will make sure that everyone knows what is happening and when.
